You don't need to be a starting goaltender in the NHL to make some incredible moves. With Corey Crawford, Chicago Blackhawks normal netminder, taking a rest, 27-year-old Scott Darling was tasked with guarding the pipes on Monday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
And he has certainly delivered so far. Darling not only had a shutout heading into the final 10 minutes of the game, he also made a miraculous diving glove stop that would have made Superman proud to keep the Maple Leafs off the board.
Great Scott, what a save by Darling! #HawksTalk pic.twitter.com/b9C9IyHchb

Even with the shooter at almost point blank range and completely unguarded, Darling managed to flash the glove quick enough in the midst of a lunge to take away the wide open net for the Maple Leafs.
Most definitely a save of the year candidate right here.
