You probably think you've seen every possible dive hockey has to show you.
You're wrong.
New Jersey Devils forward Joseph Blandisi is enjoying a decent rookie season, so he probably thinks he's earned some leeway from referees. Maybe that's why, when he was slashed by a Philadelphia Flyers player on Tuesday, that he leaped into the air like a figure skater that got shot in mid-leap.
That probably hurt, but there's no question Blandisi was embellishing there. The referees didn't buy it, and Blandisi got two minutes in the penalty box for diving to essentially negate the penalty he had drawn in the first place.
Full credit for tremendous acting, though. Maybe he has a second career as a stunt double.
