Minnesota Wild player accidentally used his face to score an own goal

That's one way to score.

It's one thing to accidentally score on your own goal. It's another when the deflection in question comes off of your face and past your own netminder. Unfortunately for Minnesota Wild defenseman Matt Dumba, that's exactly what happened.

Dumba was in the wrong place at the wrong time on the shot in question from Flames forward David Jones. The original shot would have gone well wide, if not for the noggin of Dumba. Instead, his head was in just the right spot that Jones' shot went caroming off of the edge of the defenseman's helmet and into the net past netminder Devan Dubnyk, who had no clue where the shot was.

Dubnyk's reaction after the goal says it all.
