After a disappointing loss on Wednesday to the Chicago Blackhawks, the New York Rangers needed a solid game from goalie Antti Raanta on Thursday.
He delivered early on, though the Toronto Maple Leafs made him make some impressive saves.
Chief among them was a chance from Leafs forward Brad Boyes off a tip-in late in the first period. Raanta somehow recovered for an excellent toe save:
How he didn't pull a groin there is beyond me. Minutes earlier, he should've torn a labrum or something trying to make a flashy glove save.

Quite the workout already for the Rangers backup goalie!
