Connor McDavid is back from an injury and already scoring incredible goals

This is what the Oilers have missed.

When Edmonton Oilers rookie phenom Connor McDavid injured his clavicle early in the season, we knew we were missing what could've been a rookie season for the ages.

But we didn't know exactly what we were missing until Tuesday. The first overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft made his grand return from a months-long injury absence at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets and immediately showed off his skills.

Midway through the game, McDavid led a rush up the ice, split two defensemen and deked out the goalie for an incredible score.

This kid is going to be such a joy to watch. Thank goodness he's back.
