A big reason for the Lightning's nine-game win streak? The play of their goaltenders. Specifically, backup Andrei Vasilevskiy has been superb for Tampa Bay, allowing just one goal in each of his last two starts.
The goaltender looks locked in, as the Flyers found out on Monday after Vasilevskiy stoned a 2-on-0 attempt by Philadelphia after an unlucky Lightning turnover.
There was probably just one too many passes between Wayne Simmonds and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare here, but Vasilevskiy was not fooled by the tic-tac-toe movements of the two forwards.
