It didn't take long for the Washington Capitals' best bruiser to make his physical presence known in their second round series with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Early in the third period of Game 1, Penguins forward Conor Sheary was handling the puck along the boards in the neutral zone. Capitals winger Tom Wilson came in and landed a knee-on-knee hit on Sheary before the Penguins rookie could get out of the way.
No penalty was called on the play, and Sheary remained on the Penguins bench in pain. An injured Sheary would hurt the Penguins; he has two goals and an assist while playing on Sidney Crosby's wing.
