A week after losing Steven Samkos for the rest of the season, the Tampa Bay Lightning suffered another injury scare on the doorstep of the playoffs.

The Lightning were in the midst of their final regular season game against the Montreal Canadiens. Lightning center Tyler Johnson went to chase the play in behind the Canadiens' net, but Habs defenseman Greg Pateryn shoved him off his skates and hard into the boards:

Pateryn was mobbed by Lightning players after the play, and was promptly ejected from the game with a five-minute boarding penalty. Johnson, meanwhile, was slow to his feet and was helped to the Lightning locker room and didn't return for the rest of the first period.

Johnson has struggled with injuries this season to the tune of 14 goals and 38 points in 68 games, a 34-point drop-off from last season. Still, the Lightning will be seriously depleted without him if he misses time in their first round playoff matchup with the Detroit Red Wings.
