The teammates of the Czech Republic will be quite familiar with each other when the 2016 World Cup of Hockey rolls around.
Of the 23 players named to Team Czech Republic on Friday, 12 will be playing alongside at least one NHL teammate. Those players are Ales Hemsky and Radek Faksa (Dallas Stars), Martin Hanzal and Zbynek Michalek (Arizona Coyotes), Tomas Hertl and Roman Polak (San Jose Sharks), David Krejci and David Pastrnak (Boston Bruins), Jakub Voracek, Michal Neuvirth and Radko Gudas (Philadelphia Flyers), and Andrej Sustr and Ondrej Palat (Tampa Bay Lightning).
And Zbynek and Milan Michalek are brothers! Small world.
