Vegas Golden Knights reveal first home jersey at Adidas event

FINALLY.

Ever since Las Vegas was awarded a NHL team a few years ago, we’ve been given a slow drip of information about pro hockey’s newest team.

We learned their name: the Vegas Golden Knights. We learned their logo. We made fun of their logo with funny pictures.

One thing was missing: what would their uniforms look like?

Thanks to an untimely leak and the big event Adidas and the NHL put on Tuesday in Las Vegas, we have an answer.

The Golden Knights won’t look so golden, apparently. Their primary colors for their home jersey will be steel gray — or “storm gray” as they call it — and black, with red and gold trim.

The sleeves feature the most action, with panels of black, gold, and red stacking on top of one another. A stripe of gold and black border the bottom of the jersey, which blend into the storm gray pants.

And yes, the gloves are white!

As explained way back when the Knights were revealed, the colors all have meaning:

The team's colors - steel grey, gold, red and black - reflect the community and the focus of the team:

— Steel grey represents strength and durability

— Nevada is the largest producer of gold in the United States, it is a highly-valued precious metal and is a color seen in the Las Vegas terrain

— Red is from the Vegas skyline, the desert and the beauty of the Red Rock canyons; red is also a color associated with the readiness to serve

— Black represents power and intensity
