The Vegas Golden Knights have been an NHL team officially since November. However, on Wednesday night, they were made real as they drafted 30 players — and then some — in the NHL’s first expansion draft since 2000.
However, not every player Vegas picked in the expansion draft will stick. More than a handful are very likely to get flipped by the Golden Knights as the NHL rosters unfreeze on Thursday morning at 8 a.m. ET sharp. We don’t have very long until those rosters unfreeze and the NHL gets back into action, so we’ll do our best to quickly round up all the trade rumors between Vegas and the rest of the league.
Marc Methot rumored to Dallas, while Trevor van Riemsdyk could find a home in Carolina
DAL has shown interest in VGK D man Marc Methot. As I mentioned, much speculation TVR is Carolina bound.

The Golden Knights picked up 14 defensemen in the expansion draft, well above their minimum of nine set by the NHL. The league market normally goes bonkers for defensemen, so Vegas has been rumored to part with more than a few of them to pick up some assets.
TSN’s Bob McKenzie reported late Wednesday night that the Stars were interested in former Senators blue liner, Marc Methot. Former Blackhawks defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk was also rumored to the Hurricanes before that trade was completed Thursday morning.
McKenzie later reiterated Dallas’ interest in Methot in the afternoon.
McKenzie: "Dallas, I think, has been talking to Vegas about Marc Methot." #Stars "seem to be fairly active. Lots of irons in the fire."

Colin Miller may also be on the move
Talk that D Colin Miller gets flipped to TML from BOS via VGN would be deals for 3 picks from 5th rd. of 2012 draft inc. Griffith, Carrick.

The Maple Leafs seemingly have interest in former Bruins defenseman Colin Miller. Talks earlier on Wednesday said Miller could be flipped, though the return for the blue liner is unknown.
