Sidney Crosby apparently told P.K. Subban his breath smelled after Game 3

New, comment

But he used some Listerine!!!

The Nashville Predators won Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final by a score of 5-1. As often with blowout games, things got chippy between the Penguins and Predators in the final moments.

P.K. Subban, he of the Game 3 guarantee, was of course in the middle of it all. After the final whistle, Subban exchanged words with Penguins captain Sidney Crosby and Pittsburgh forward Jake Guentzel.

NBCSN and Pierre McGuire asked Subban about the comments he made to Crosby and gave us the gem of the Stanley Cup Final:

Here’s what Subban had to say.

"[Crosby] told me my breath smelled, but I don't know, I used some Listerine before the game so I don’t know what he’s talking about."

Subban clarified his comments later in a postgame scrum, via Greg Wyshynski of Puck Daddy.

Pekka Rinne also jumped in on Subban’s breath situation, which will likely please our dentist readers.

Honestly, how can you not love Subban? What a quote and what a gem.
