In honor of their first season as a franchise, it seems as if the Vegas Golden Knights are going the extra mile to point out their season ticket holders.
For the upcoming season, the Golden Knights will be embedding the names of every season ticket holder into their home ice at T-Mobile Arena. The detail was first noticed and reported upon by ESPN’s Darren Rovell on Monday.

The names look to be occupying the space near one of the blue lines, though the columns are too big to be encapsulated by the paint itself. It’s very likely the names are being embedded into the ice just outside of the blue line, the one the Golden Knights will defend twice a night during their home games for the rest of the season.
The idea is a unique one for the NHL, as the league has specific rules and guidelines for how the lines on the ice are painted year by year. There doesn’t seem to be any rule keeping the Golden Knights from embedding the names of their season ticket holders into the ice.
We’ll likely get our first look at the names on Tuesday, when the Golden Knights play their first preseason hockey game in T-Mobile Arena against the Los Angeles Kings.
