The 2018 NHL trade deadline is finally here, meaning we are headed for potential trade craziness over the next several hours. The NHL will lock off trades after the 3 p.m. ET deadline Monday afternoon, which means teams have very little time to stock up for a playoff run or sell out after a lost season.
The 2017-18 NHL season has had a few major trades of note over the opening months of the season. However, trade deadline season is usually the busier time for moves to be made before the NHL registry closes for the year. There have been rumors abound over the last month, and many teams like the New York Rangers or Buffalo Sabres look to be ready to sell to the highest bidder.
The Los Angeles Kings made a major splash last week, adding Dion Phaneuf to their roster in a major trade with the Ottawa Senators. Other players such as Michael Grabner and Derick Brassard have also been on the move.
Since we’re closing in on the trade deadline, here’s every trade from the past few months in one convenient place.
