AC Milan vs. AS Roma Betting Odds: Serie A Match Preview, Prediction

Serie A wagering focuses on the AC Milan vs AS Roma battle this weekend. The odds are surprising.

AC Milan has had a less than stellar season in Serie A, but they are favorites facing AS Roma, who is the only undefeated team in the league.

AS Roma had played to four straight draws, which dropped them into second place in the league table. However, they are coming off a great 2-1 home win over Fiorentina and earn the chalk role here on the Serie A betting odds menu.

AC Milan is in ninth place in the league table and the Scudetto may be out of the picture with them trailing first place Juventus by 22 points.

It's not obvious why AC Milan are the betting favorites against Roma, as they have already lost two home matches this season. On top of that, AC Milan have not beaten a top tier club in league play and are winless in their last 3 home matches.

As of Tuesday, 5Dimes AC Milan is posted at +120 with AS Roma at +240 and a draw line at +220.

AC Milan salvaged a draw in their last match needing a late goal from Mario Balotelli facing Livorno. Balotelli leads the squad in scoring. Their attack and defense have both been average with the team conceding as many goals as they have scored (23).

AS Roma's defense has been stellar this season only allowing five goals in 15 matches. Their offense has stalled in the last few weeks. In their 2-1 win over Fiorentina the club scored more than one goal for the first time since mid October.

They do not have one big gun on offense and while Alessandro Florenzi leads the squad in goals (4) there are six players that have at least three goals.

AS Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has been solid this season, but the strength of Roma is the back line defense. AC Milan will have to crack that defense to win and that is a tall task.

Last season in Milan, these two teams played to a 0-0 draw.
