College football opening lines: Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma favored in the big games

A top-10 battle between SEC powerhouses LSU and Georgia highlights Week 5 of the college football betting calendar, but it is far from the only marquee battle. LSU, ranked No. 6) opened as three-point underdogs at ninth-rated Georgia. The Tigers are 7-1 straight up in conference road games the past two seasons, according to the OddsShark.com college football database. Georgia is 7-3 against the spread in home conference battles since 2009.

Another major conference tilt with BCS implications is the annual Ohio State vs Wisconsin scrap. The Badgers were early 7.5-road underdogs against a team they have struggled to a 1-5 SU (and ATS) mark in recent years. Ohio State is ranked fourth in the AP poll this week, while Wisconsin clings to the Top 25 at No. 23. Notre Dame faces Oklahoma in another key Top 25 battle, where a lot of early money went on the Sooners as small road favorites.
