Michigan State vs Delaware betting odds, bracket pick, trends

Michigan State always seems to make a deep March run and they are favored to start with a win over No. 13 Delaware. Oddsmakers believe MSU is one of the best bets to win it all.

In their last 16 trips to the NCAA Tournament, the Michigan State Spartans are 12-4 SU and 10-6 ATS in their opening games.

4-seed Michigan State is expected to continue its success on Thursday going off as a 14-point favorite over 13-seed Delaware.

Michigan State entered the season ranked No. 2 in the AP Top 25 and has looked the part of an elite team in March, finishing the year on a 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS run to win the Big Ten Tournament.

Michigan State had gone just 4-6 SU and 5-5 ATS over its previous 10 games. The Spartans are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as a double-digit favorite.

The Delaware Blue Hens have been fantastic in 2014 going 19-2 SU and 12-7-1 ATS over their last 21 games. Delaware ended the year with a 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS record over its last five games to lock up the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.

In Devon Saddler and Davon Usher, the Blue Hens have two players that average over 19 PPG.
