NFL preseason odds 2016, Week 2: Seahawks, Steelers among betting favorites in week ahead

Coming off a win last week, the Seattle Seahawks are 14-4 straight up and against the spread in their last 18 preseason contests according to the OddsShark NFL Database. The Seahawks will host the Minnesota Vikings in one of six preseason games on the board this Thursday night.

Seattle is a 3.5-point home favorite in Thursday's game at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. After trailing for the entire game against Kansas City last week, Seattle scored on the final drive of the game and converted on a two point conversion to win 17-16 outright as a 3.5-point underdog.

Now the Seahawks return home to face the Minnesota Vikings, who should be out for revenge after suffering a 10-9 loss in the playoffs to Seattle last season.

Also on Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Pittsburgh Steelers for an intrastate rivalry game. The Steelers lost their preseason opener at home to the Detroit Lions 30-17, falling to 2-5 SU and ATS in their last seven preseason home games.

Philadelphia jumped out to a 14-6 lead on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and held on for a 17-9 home win last week. The Eagles are a 3.5-point road underdog this Thursday night.

The Arizona Cardinals are a 1.5-point underdog heading into San Diego to take on the Chargers this Friday night. If Arizona can pull off the upset win, it would be the first time since 2003 that the Cardinals have beaten the Chargers.

San Diego has dominated this series with a 7-0 SU and 5-0-2 ATS record in its last seven preseason games against Arizona.

The Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl last season with the best defense in the NFL, and that defense was on display in a 22-0 shutout win over the Chicago Bears last Thursday. The Broncos will try to follow that effort up with another win this Saturday as a 4-point favorite against the San Francisco 49ers.

This game has regular season implications for both teams as Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian battle for the starting role in Denver and Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick duke it out in San Francisco.
