It is quite rare to see a true pick’em in the English Premier League, but each of the last four meetings between these two powerhouses has resulted in a draw. Before this recent stalemate, Manchester United was 8-2 in its previous 10 matches against Liverpool.
The two clubs are separated by only two points in the standings with Manchester United sitting at 19-5-5 and Liverpool at 17-3-9. Liverpool has been on a pretty impressive tear since late December with an 8-1-1 record over its last 10 games while Manchester United has back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Crystal Palace since losing two of its previous three.
Very little separates these two teams and this could be the game that ultimately decides where they finish on the EPL table.
Of course, Manchester United and Liverpool are battling for the second spot on the table with Manchester City running away with the top spot. City will continue its march to the championship as a -475 road favorite on Monday on the Premier League betting lines visiting Stoke City (+1200 to win, +525 to draw).
Manchester City is 3-0-1 in its last four games against Stoke City including a 7-2 victory at home earlier this season.
Chelsea has been in a nose-dive of late going just 1-4 over its last five games since going 11-1-4 in its previous 16. The club will try to to get back on track as a -365 home favorite hosting Crystal Palace (+950 to win, +450 to draw).
Crystal Palace scored a 2-1 upset over Chelsea as a +750 home underdog back in September. Since going on an impressive 5-1-6 midseason run, Crystal Palace is winless in its last six games at 0-4-2 and has lost each of its last three.
