Galaxy, Sounders Among Teams Who Tried To Acquire Juan Pablo Angel

If ESPN’s Allen Hopkins is to be believed, at least four teams expressed interest in trading for Red Bulls forward Juan Pablo Angel during the season.

Among those teams were the Galaxy, Sounders, Rapids and DC United, any one of which may be interested in acquiring MLS’s top scorer over the past four seasons when rosters are unfrozen.

“Going back to July and specifically in Houston at the MLS All-Star Game, Juan was told at that point that he would not be renewed with New York, and that he could leave immediately if he could find another club,” Hopkins told MLS’s Extra Time Radio.
