Unsurprisingly, the game's getting a little bit tetchy now. Liverpool fans are booing John Pantsil like he's an Everton player, hoping they can provoke him into getting himself sent off. Neither side is very pleased with each other, but the scuffle between Pantsil and Steven Gerrard may have galvanised Fulham somewhat - they're getting a little bit more into the attack and actually looking slightly dangerous on occasion (that might just be Zoltan Gera's influence, though). Clint Dempsey is all over the place, springing free of a challenge on the edge of the box to smash a shot high and wide and then launching an overhead kick from similar range... about three feet. Backwards.
Alright, so Dempsey's latest effort didn't exactly cause consternation in the Liverpool ranks, but there are ten minutes to go and unless Liverpool get a second they're going to be living rather dangerously. Aaron Hughes has just nodded wide from a corner, and then Raul Meireles was forced into a shinned goal-line clearance from the head of Brede Hangeland. The midfielder nearly did a Pantsil there.
