VIDEO: Real Sociedad's Iñigo Martínez Has Scored Twice From His Own Half This Season

Real Sociedad's Iñigo Martínez has scored twice from midfield in this edition of the 2010-2011 la Liga season. The first came in la Real's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao back in early October, and he just added his second, a 54 meter effort to win the Basque side's clash with Real Betis

Just so everyone knows, Martínez has scored three goals this season total. If we extend this over the course of an entire year, he would score (more or less) seven goals, with four being from behind the half way line. What on earth?! You say. Yes, it's true. We have video evidence.

Yeah, this is pretty awesome. But, honestly, now that keepers have figured out his trick, won't they begin to catch on? You know, play maybe five feet farther back when he's on the pitch against them? Doesn't seem like a tall task.

But you know what? I really, really reeeeeaaaaly hope that no one catches on. Because we could all use more 60 meter goals in out lives.
