What happened when Jose Mourinho got sent off and found a seat in the stands

Jose Mourinho got sent off in the 70th minute of Chelsea's win over Cardiff City today and went to sit in the stands right behind the bench. It made one fan's day.

Scott Heavey

For reasons known only to Jose Mourinho, he got really upset in the 70th minute of Chelsea's eventual 4-1 win over Cardiff City today. The match referee, likely at the behest of the fourth official, came over to the touchline and ordered the Portuguese manager to leave the pitch.

Mourinho at first returned to his team's bench but that apparently wasn't good enough for the officials. So the Special One retreated a little further, sitting in a seat located in the section just behind the team's bench. Much to the amazement and joy of the fans who were sitting in the section.

One guy in particular, who ended up sitting next to the Chelsea boss for the final 20 minutes, was justifiably excited and let the world know via his camera phone and Twitter.

I'm jealous of Mr. Sean Buxton. I want to sit next to Jose Mourinho.

I'd also like to congratulate Sean on taking an excellent sneaky photograph, especially considering Mourinho's apparent rotten mood after being sent off.
