Tottenham Hotspur vs. Newcastle United: Preview and TV schedule

Sunday's early Premier League game sees Tottenham Hotspur welcome Newcastle United to White Hart Lane.

Ian Walton

Tottenham Hotspur only managed a draw with Everton in their last match, though still find themselves up in fourth place after the opening ten games of the season. They'll look to bounce back to winning ways at home to Newcastle United on Sunday, though Alan Pardew's oddly unpredictable Magpies could make life difficult for Spurs.

Newcastle have had a solid if unspectacular start to the season, and are up in ninth place as it stands. Their surprise 2-0 win over Chelsea last weekend showed great promise, though their failure to find any consistency so far has prevented them from pushing higher up the table.

For this match, Spurs will be without Nacer Chadli, Danny Rose and Emmanuel Adebayor, though Hugo Lloris should return from the head injury he sustained against Everton. Newcastle have Massadio Haïdara, Paul Dummett and the two Taylors sidelined with injury problems.

Tottenham Hotspur injuries and suspensions

Out: Nacer Chadli (adductor), Danny Rose (foot), Emmanuel Adebayor (match fitness). In doubt: Hugo Lloris (concussion).

Newcastle United injuries and suspensions

Out: Massadio Haïdara (hamstring), Ryan Taylor (knee), Steven Taylor (hamstring), Paul Dummett (hamstring). In doubt: None.
