Liverpool's defeat to league leaders Arsenal last weekend was only their second loss of the Premier League season, though they've got a good opportunity to make amends at home to Fulham on Saturday. With Arsenal having a tough test at home to Manchester United on Sunday, there's a decent chance Liverpool will cut their five-point deficit to the top of the table.
Though on paper Fulham should be pretty tough opponents, they've been perpetual underperformers over the last few seasons. The Cottagers are down in 16th after two straight defeats, with not even the wonder of Dimitar Berbatov able to spark a change in their recent fortunes.
For this match, Liverpool will still be without Iago Aspas, Sebastián Coates and José Enrique, with captain Steven Gerrard in doubt with a hip problem. Fulham have Hugo Rodallega and Matthew Briggs sidelined through injury, while Sascha Riether is suspended after stamping on Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj. Brede Hangeland and Bryan Ruiz both face late fitness tests.
Liverpool injuries and suspensions
Out: Iago Aspas (thigh), Sebastián Coates (knee), José Enrique (knee). In doubt: Steven Gerrard (hip).
Fulham injuries and suspensions
