Wolfsburg 1-1 Hamburg
Wolfsburg started well and probably should've scored first, but Ivica Olic was unable to find the back of the net with two chances. Hakan Calhanoglu would give Hamburg the surprise early lead with a free kick. Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego Benaglio misjudged it, and the ball struck the crossbar and went in after hitting Benaglio. A few minutes later, Heiko Westermann fouled Daniel Caligiuri. Ricardo Rodriguez dispatched the penalty to level the score. Hamburg had multiple attacks in the second half and had firm control of the match, but they were never able to beat Benaglio for the winner.

Bayern Munich 2-0 Eintracht Braunschweig

The Dutchman's shot went off the post, but he was first to the round and headed it into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead. A little while later, Toni Kroos sent a long pass to Robben. He brought the ball down on his chest and curled a shot into the corner for the 2-0 lead. Braunschweig came out swinging after this and should've pulled on back. Manuel Neuer came out of the penalty area to block Domi Kumbela's attempt, but Kevin Kratz was there to send the rebound toward the empty net. Luckily for Bayern, David Alaba was on hand to block the ball out of the air to prevent the Braunschweig goal and help Bayern to the 2-0 victory.
