Chelsea vs. Steaua Bucharest: Preview and TV schedule

Chelsea are already guaranteed a place in the Champions League knockout stages, and should be able to seal the group against Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday.

They certainly haven't been perfect in this season's Champions League, though Chelsea have managed to pick up enough points heading into the final matchday to guarantee their place in the knockout stages. They meet Steaua Bucharest in their last match on Wednesday, with the only remaining task for José Mourinho's team being winning the group.

They have the advantage heading into the final round, and should they equal or better Basel's result against Schalke 04, they'll finish first. Despite their patchy form it should be a simple enough task for the Blues, given that they demolished their Romanian opponents 4-0 in the reverse fixture.

However, they will be without the injured Marco van Ginkel and ineligible Michael Essien, while David Luiz, Oscar and Andre Schürrle are in doubt. Steaua have a couple of players unavailable, with Lucian Filip sidelined with a broken leg and Alexandru Bourceanu suspended.

Chelsea injuries and suspensions

Steaua Bucharest injuries and suspensions

Out: Lucian Filip (broken leg), Alexandru Bourceanu (suspended). In doubt: None.
