Just as it looked like things couldn't get much worse for Manchester United, they have. The latest bad news reveals the Red Devils will be without midfielder Marouane Fellaini until February after he underwent surgery on a wrist injury he's been carrying around since United played Shakhtar Donetsk in October.

Previously United had hoped to have Fellaini back in time for the festive fixtures, though he'll now be sidelined for a further six weeks.
The Belgian international has struggled to impress since making a £27.5 million deadline day switch from Everton, though United will no doubt be hoping that the decision for him to finally resolve the nagging problem will help him find his best form -- or at least some form at all.
Given that United are short of numbers in the central midfield zone as it is, manager David Moyes will be desperately praying for no further injury problems. Things can't really get any worse, can they?
