Update: Manchester United 1-2 Real Madrid, final. Madrid progress to Champions League quarterfinals.
Sergio Ramos has scored at the beginning of the second half but for the wrong team.
After some good early pressure from Madrid, United's first attack of the second half yielded a positive result. United nearly scored in a bit of a scramble in front of the Madrid goal but the ball ended up rolling out towards the left side touchline where Raphael Varane looked poised to deal with it. Instead, Varane only managed to direct the ball right to Nani who crossed the ball back into the box.
Danny Welbeck appeared to get a slight touch on the ball but instead of rolling past the net, defender Sergio Ramos accidentally re-directed the ball past Diego Lopez and gave United the 1-0 lead.
It doesn't change much in terms of what Madrid need to do. They always needed a goal today to advance and they're still going to need a goal to keep their hopes alive now. The pressure is definitely on Jose Mourinho's side now, even more than it was before.
