Well, unfortunately, Sturridge won't be playing in that game. According to ESPN, Brendan Rodgers said that his star striker still isn't ready to play at the Premier League level.
"He's out on the field today with the rehab team," Rodgers said. "He's moving very well. But he's probably a little bit of time away yet."
Without Sturridge, Liverpool haven't been terrific in front of goal. Mario Balotelli has yet to find his form in a Liverpool shirt, and despite that, Rickie Lambert hasn't become more than a backup for the Reds. The likes of Lazar Markovic and Fabio Borini haven't been terrific in the opportunities they've gotten to shine either, and Raheem Sterling can't do all of the scoring on his own.
Liverpool need Sturridge back soon, and they might struggle to find the back of the net yet again this weekend without him, especially against a team as good as Chelsea.
