Laurent Koscielny will remain on the sidelines for Arsenal

The defender has already missed a month with an Achilles injury.

Sorry to crush the hopes and dreams of Arsenal fans hoping that Laurent Koscielny would return for this weekend's match against Swansea, but that won't be the case. The defender, who has already missed a month with a lingering Achilles injury, will be out another three or four weeks.

Koscielny has started six Premier League games for the Gunners this season, but hasn't seen the pitch since last month's 2-0 loss to Chelsea. Arsenal, currently level on points with West Ham in fourth, have managed seven points from nine since the Frenchman's injury.

That's not to say Koscielny wouldn't provide a boost to his side, however. This is, of course, the team that lost concentration midweek, surrendering a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Anderlecht. The trip to Swansea, currently 6th, isn't going to be easy, and with Manchester United and Dortmund to follow, this sort of injury news certainly isn't what Arsenal were hoping to hear.
