Thanks to Liverpool's 3-2 win over Manchester City on Sunday, the Reds are the favorites to claim their first ever Premier League title, and their first top division title in 24 years. There's still work to be done however for Brendan Rodgers' team, and the title race is far from settled, as two other teams, Chelsea and Manchester City, are still in the mix with a legitimate shot at crushing Liverpool's dreams.

Each team has at least one tough match remaining, and there are still plenty of twists and turns likely ahead of us. Let's take a look at the scenarios involved for the three contenders to claim the title, and the toughest tests left on their schedules.

Liverpool wins the title if...

They win out. If the Reds can take three points from all of their remaining matches, they'll lift the EPL trophy in May. Hands down, their toughest game left is on Sunday, April 27th when they host Chelsea at Anfield. Next to that, a trip to face Crystal Palace on Monday, May 5th is probably their only other difficult game on paper. Palace have been on a roll of late, winning three straight matches, including a 1-0 defeat of Chelsea.

Liverpool has four matches remaining. Maximum possible points: 89

Manchester City wins the title if...

They win out and Liverpool fails to win one of their final four matches. City faces the most games of the title contenders thanks to rescheduled matches as a result of cup competitions. They will face a tough test on Sunday, April 27th at they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, but their hardest remaining match by far is the following week's fixture, against Everton at Goodison Park.

City has six matches remaining. Maximum possible points: 88

Chelsea wins the title if...

They win out, while Liverpool lose at least one match and Manchester City fail to win one. Despite currently sitting in second place, the road for the Blues is the hardest in that they need help from City and have the Champions League to deal with. However, they do have control over whether or not they finish above Liverpool, since they have a match remaining against them. That match at Anfield is by far their hardest remaining match, as their other matches are all against relegation favorites -- Sunderland, Cardiff and Norwich.

Chelsea has four matches remaining. Maximum possible points: 87
