Not quite ready to call an end to your soccer day? Let the words of MLSsoccer.com Editor in Chief Greg Lalas get you pumped up for the Seattle Sounders-Portland Timbers match tonight. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. eastern, it will be on ESPN and there should be more than 60,000 crazed fans in attendance.
If you're relatively new to Major League Soccer, introductions could not possibly get much better than this. Not only is it the best rivalry in the league, but there will be no short of talented players in the game. World Cup stars Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin will both be in the lineup, as will MLS stars like Obafemi Martins, Diego Valeri and Darlington Nagbe. The last time these two teams met -- earlier this week -- they needed 120 minutes to get a winner. The time before that, the game ended in a 4-4 tie. Yeah, these games tend to be fun.
And you even have a few hours to let yourself come down off the tension of Germany-Argentina.
