Ángel Correa will miss the next six months after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor in his heart. The San Lorenzo striker had the operation last month in New York, and will have to stay on the sideline until at least January to ensure there isn't a recurrence of the problem.

The issue was discovered in late May during a routine medical exam ahead of Correa's transfer to Atlético Madrid. The deal is still expected to go through despite the surgery, and the 19-year-old striker has reportedly agreed to a five-year deal with Los Colchoneros.
Correa is expected to make a full recovery and he should be able to resume his playing career next year.
Mundo Deportivo is reporting that San Lorenzo has agreed to leave the deal on hold to ensure that Correa is able to make a full recovery.
