Bayern Munich drop stylish single-stripe third kit

The third kit, which completes a trio with the stylish red and blue home kit and horizontally-striped away, celebrates Bayern's rich history in continental competition.

Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, alongside adidas, unveiled the club's third kit for the 2014-15 season. As they have done during the last few years, the third kit will primarily be used in European competition. The alternate kit, which completes a trio with the stylish red and blue home kit and horizontally-striped away, celebrates Bayern's rich history in continental competition.

The new shirt is almost all black with the exception of an unmissable red stripe that runs the shirt's vertical length, cutting behind the crest and starting at the shoulder stripes before ending at the hem. The two sponsor logos and adidas stripes on the shoulder are a dark gray that makes them look subdued next to the stripe on the front of the top. The stripe that runs across the back of the shirt and the club's motto of "mia san mia" match that iron gray color.

The red band from the shirt carries itself onto the shorts and socks, with both matching the rest of the black and gray color scheme otherwise. The goalkeeper's third kit is the reverse of the field players' kit with an all red body and vertical back stripe.
