Somehow, Diego Simeone has turned Fernando Torres' corpse into a deadly goalscoring machine again, with the latest example coming 38 seconds into the second leg of Atletico Madrid's Copa Del Rey tie with Barcelona.
He scored 46 seconds into the match against Real Madrid. Then he scored 35 seconds into the second half of that match. Now 38 seconds in!
For years, Torres was one of the world's best strikers, but he was more recently the world's punching bag. He couldn't score, or come close to it. Sure, he occasionally put the ball into the net, but his horrific misses came around far more often. He was left for dead, and Atleti looked silly to think they could turn him around.
BUT LOOK AT THIS! HE IS BACK!
And damn, is it fun having him back.
