Gabriel Paletta leaves Parma for AC Milan

After nearly five seasons at the Tardini, the defender is deserting the relegation-threatened club.

Parma is a sinking ship and the rats players are scrambling to get off before they drown. The crociati have just nine points from 21 games, and are a full 10 points from safety. So it's little wonder, then, that Gabriel Paletta, one of Parma's more talented players, was lured away by AC Milan and their promise of enormous trophies.

To be fair, Milan aren't in the best position, either. With their win over Parma this weekend, the rossoneri have managed to pull themselves up into 8th, but remain 10 points back of the Champions League places. Kudos to Filippo Inzaghi and the rest of the bunch at Milan, though -- at least they know they're in desperate need of a center back.

And at least the rossoneri faithful can now hope they'll never again have to see Philippe Mexes wearing a Milan kit.
