USA vs. China live stream: How to watch the 2015 World Cup online

The USWNT need to beat China if they're to reach the WWC semifinals.

The United States haven't looked at their best throughout the Women's World Cup so far, but they saw off Colombia in a comfortable 2-0 win to book their place in Friday's quarterfinal with China. Jill Ellis' side is undoubtedly the stronger of the two on paper, and the USWNT have never been beaten by the Asian outfit in their many meetings.

China do seem to be an emerging force of women's football, and with such a young squad, we can expect to see them featured regularly in the latter stages of major tournaments for years to come.

But, for the time being, they're unlikely to make it past the United States, as they only just squeezed past Cameroon 1-0 in the last round, and were held to a draw by New Zealand in the group stages. They're a solid, defense-first side, but they're going to have to pull off a big upset to see off one of the tournament favorites, no matter how unspectacular the United States have been to date.
