Mexico obliterated a shorthanded Cuba in their opening Gold Cup match, and they're unlikely to get a stiffer test against Guatemala on Sunday night.
Guatemala were predictably taken apart by the United States in a warm-up friendly, than slightly less predictably run over by Trinidad and Tobago in their Gold Cup opener. T&T were slight favorites, but few expected them to easily rush out to a 3-0 lead. It's highly unlikely that Guatemala gives any kind of trouble to El Tri.
Much like his biggest rival Jurgen Klinsmann, Mexico manager Miguel Herrera might opt to rotate and give a look to some new players or a new formation, given that he has three points in the bag and is likely to win this match regardless of the team he picks. He didn't reveal his team on Saturday, but didn't say he'd be rotating against Guatemala either.
