Manchester United went down early in their Champions League playoff match against Club Brugge, with Michael Carrick giving up a fairly entertaining own goal in just the eighth minute. Giving up an away goal that early in the first leg of this qualifying tie hurts for United, but as long as they leveled the score quickly, they could survive the blow. Thank goodness they bought Memphis Depay.

That was the Dutch winger's first ManU goal, and what a nice account opener it was. Six defenders tried to either play him or the ball, and not one could get the job done before Depay rifled in a lovely shot that the Brugge keeper was hopeless to stop.
UPDATE: He's scored another scorcher.
