Between their treble last season and their win over Atletico Madrid over the weekend, it looks like Barcelona are the best team on earth. They'll be expected to win their Champions League group, but they face of a bit of a stiff test on Wednesday when they take on AS Roma.
The Giallorossi went through some serious change this summer, signing a number of expensive veteran players with a view towards establishing themselves as one of Europe's top clubs. So far, the results have been mixed, but they did record a big win over Juventus early in the Serie A season.
Both teams have very long injury lists early in the season. AS Roma is missing Miralem Pjanic and Kevin Strootman for sure, while there are doubts over the fitness of Salih Uçan Antonio Rudiger and Maicon. Barcelona are missing key players too, with Claudio Bravo and Dani Alves missing out, along with Thomas Vermaelen and Douglas.
