Sometimes goals are a piece of individual brilliance. Sometimes they're the result of some fantastic teamwork and buildup play. This one, scored by Admir Mehmedi for Bayer Leverkusen, is definitely the latter.

The final touch on the assist came from Javier Hernandez, with a clever first-time layoff into space for Mehmedi to pounce on, but a number of Leverkusen players were involved in creating that. Mehmedi deserves credit for that finish, too -- outside of the boot, curled in perfectly to sneak in at the far post. Thanks to that goal, the Germans lead BATE Borisov 1-0 at home just four minutes into their Champions League group stage match.
