Stoke City got off to a cold start this season, and sat in the drop zone for the first eight weeks of the Premier League. But they've stormed out of the bottom three off the back of four straight undefeated games, including two consecutive victories. This week's winner against Hull City was scored by Xherdan Shaqiri, whose strike is likely to stand as goal of the week when all the games have been played.
Shaqiri went on to add a second goal in the second half as well, sealing the Potters' 2-0 win. His struggle to find form at the beginning of the season mirrored his team's problems, so it's tough to figure out if his poor play was a symptom or a cause of the team's larger struggle. But he looks to be back to his best, and with him in form, Stoke can meet the top-half expectations they had in preseason.
