Paraguay play host to Colombia in the latest round of South American World Cup qualifying matches on Thursday, with these sides separated by just a point in the table. Paraguay head into the contest in sixth, just a point below Colombia and Ecuador, and one place outside of the intercontinental playoff spot. However, they've won just one of their last eight competitive matches, and need to find some form if they're to rescue their chances of making it to Russia.

Colombia, meanwhile, have been able to steadily rack up the points, but have done so without any real consistency. José Pekerman's side have won four and lost three of their opening eight matches, and head into this encounter on the back of a narrow defeat to Brazil. It's still early enough that they needn't worry too much about finishing in the all-important top four, but they'll certainly be hoping to take something away from Asunción, as they did on their last visit three years ago.
