According to UEFA, Gent manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck has opted to play a back three in a bid to keep Wolfsburg at bay in their Champions League round of 16 first leg at the KAA Gent Stadium. The Belgian hosts may have home advantage, but in tight ties when away goals are so often the difference, it's understandable that they'd want to play things safe.

In contrast, Dieter Hecking has lined up in a standard 4-2-3-1, with few real surprises in his selection. Julian Draxler starts over André Schürrle out on the left, with Maximilian Arnold and Vieirinha helping him form a formidable attacking midfield trio behind Max Kruse. The German side certainly head in as favorites, but will they be able to deliver on the night? We'll find out shortly.

Gent starting lineup (3-5-2): Matz Sels; Nana Asare, Stefan Mitrović, Lasse Nielsen; Brecht Dejaegere, Sven Kums, Renato Neto, Danijel Miličević, Thomas Foket; Moses Simon, Laurent Depoitre.

Subs: Brian Vandenbussche, Rafinha, Kalifa Coulibaly, Thomas Matton, Kenneth Saief, Lucas Deaux, Rami Gershon.

Wolfsburg starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Koen Casteels; Ricardo Rodríguez, Robin Knoche, Dante, Sebastian Jung; Luiz Gustavo, Christian Träsch; Julian Draxler, Maximilian Arnold, Vieirinha; Max Kruse.

Subs: Max Grün, Niklas Klinger, Marcel Schäfer, Bruno Henrique, André Schürrle, Leandro Putaro, Ismail Azzaoui.
