The Copa América Centenario -- the special centennial edition of the biggest international tournament in the Americas -- is fast approaching. Because of the importance of the occasion, the tournament is larger than normal, with four extra teams from North America's CONCACAF confederation joining the ten members of South America's CONMEBOL in a tournament to decide which national team is the best in the Americas.
The first pot in the draw consists of the United States -- the host nation of the tournament -- and Mexico, the two biggest teams in CONCACAF. It's filled out with Brazil and Argentina, widely considered the two biggest powers in CONMEBOL. There was some controversy around that choice, however, as Chile are the defending Copa America champions, having beaten Argentina in the final last summer.
The other pots are laid out as such -- Chile and the three other top-ranked CONMEBOL teams make up pot two. The other four qualified CONCACAF teams are in pot three, and the remaining four CONMEBOL sides are in pot four. The full listing of which teams are in which pots is below.
