Dynamo Kiev vs. Manchester City: Lineups

The teams are out for the opening leg of Manchester City's Champions League first knockout round contest against Dynamo Kiev.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has rather unsurprisingly named his strongest starting lineup for his side's first Champions League knockout stage game away at Dynamo Kiev. The Chilean coach took the decision to rest his key players in their FA Cup thrashing at the hands of Chelsea on the weekend, and he'll be hoping it pays dividends with a comfortable victory.

However, Dynamo Kiev could well prove to be stubborn opponents. Despite home advantage, they're likely to sit back and try and hit their visitors on the counter-attack; starting wingers Derlis González and Andriy Yarmolenko both have bags of pace and skill, and could take advantage of any gaps in behind City full-backs Gaël Clichy and Bacary Sagna. Dynamo Kiev starting lineup (4-3-3): Olexandr Shovkovskiy; Domagoj Vida, Aleksandar Dragović, Yevhen Khacheridi, Danilo Silva; Vitaliy Buyalskiy, Serhiy Rybalka, Denys Garmash; Derlis González, Łukasz Teodorczyk, Andriy Yarmolenko.

Manchester City starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Joe Hart; Gaël Clichy, Nicolás Otamendi, Vincent Kompany, Bacary Sagna; Fernandinho, Fernando; Raheem Sterling, Yaya Touré, David Silva; Sergio Agüero.
