Zenit St. Petersburg will have to overturn a one-goal deficit against Benfica at the Petrovsky Stadium on Wednesday, having lost the first leg in Lisbon to a late goal. Coach André Villas-Boas hasn't pulled any surprises with his starting lineup, though Argentine international defender Ezequiel Garay may be disappointed with having to start from the bench: Luís Neto and Nicolas Lombaerts are the preferred defensive pairing.
Meanwhile, Benfica coach Rui Vitória has gone with a fairly attack-minded lineup, and clearly isn't willing to rest on his laurels. Jonas partners Kostas Mitroglou up top in a two-man attack, with Nicolás Gaitán and Pizzi both offering a considerable threat out wide. It could well be an entertaining game.
Zenit St. Petersburg starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Yuri Lodygin; Yuri Zhirkov, Luís Neto, Nicolas Lombaerts, Aleksandr Anyukov; Axel Witsel, Maurício; Aleksandr Kokorin, Danny, Hulk; Artem Dzyuba.
Benfica starting lineup (4-4-2): Ederson; Ljubomir Fejsa, Victor Lindelöf, Eliseu, Nélson Semedo; Nicolás Gaitán, Renato Sanches, Andreas Samaris, Pizzi; Kostas Mitroglou, Jonas.
