The Euro 2016 wind-down has continued with the unveiling of UEFA's official Team of the Tournament. Four Portuguese players have made the cut (including Cristiano Ronaldo), three Germans, two Frenchmen and two Welshmen. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Gareth Bale isn't included; his compatriots Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen form the Welsh contingent.

Others who may consider themselves unfortunate to miss out include Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci, Croatia winger Ivan Perišić, and Portugal midfielder João Mário, who were all key components of their sides' respective successes. Keep an eye out on SB Nation Soccer; we'll be presenting our alternative Team of the Tournament shortly.
