Welcome to the summer 2016 transfer deadline day. Everyone's had four months to get their business done, but most clubs have managed to leave a bit of it unfinished. Plenty of deals are expected on the final day that European clubs can buy players before next year.
The transfer deadline is at 11 p.m. local time, 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday. It shuts six hours earlier in Germany, one hour earlier in Italy and Turkey, and one hour later in Spain and Portugal. The window will remain open until September 6 in Russia, so players heading there have some extra time to complete their deals. In China and the United States, the window is closed, so players can't move to those countries right now.
Below, you'll find a running timeline of all of the biggest rumors as they pop up throughout the day, plus all of the biggest confirmed signings separated out, so you can tell fact from speculation on a day where it's often hard to discern the difference.
